We’re excited to celebrate the release FORGOTTEN LANDS Volume 07: Poetics of Architecture on Thursday, October 23, from 7:00PM-9:00 PM at the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MOCADA). Volume 07 expands the concept of architecture beyond conventional buildings—exploring how memory, poetics, and cultural structures shape the Caribbean and its diaspora. Inspired by cultural theorists Sylvia Wynter and June Jordan, this volume asks: How can storytelling and folklore shape our built environment? How do speculative visions reimagine Caribbean aesthetics and identity?

Artist Talk moderated by guest editor Shameekia Shantel Johnson alongside Abigail Lucien, Kearra Amaya Gopee, and Julian Alexander
