Andrae Green

Andrae Green (b. Kingston, Jamaica) draws from a childhood shaped by comics, faith, and resilience to build vivid, introspective worlds grounded in hope and imagination. Now based in Western Massachusetts, his paintings center on deliberately blurred and doubled figures that refuse fixity, fragmenting portraiture to depict a Caribbean reality through the lens of memory and lived experience.

He holds a BFA from Edna Manley College in Kingston, Jamaica and an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the National Gallery of Jamaica and the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
